Partnerships
Lively Film Journal considers collaborations that fit thoughtful film viewing and do not blur the line between editorial work and promotion. Use the Contact page to describe the idea, the intended audience and any commercial relationship involved.
Possible collaborations
We consider clearly defined projects such as a labelled partner feature, a relevant resource placement or a limited group of partner links. A proposal should explain what readers gain, what material or support is involved, and whether the arrangement is paid or otherwise benefits a partner.
How placements are labelled
Paid or partner-supported material is marked so readers can recognise it before engaging. Partner links appear in a clearly identified area, separate from editorial recommendations. Labels do not imply that Lively Film Journal endorses every claim or product connected to a partner.
Editorial boundaries
Partners do not choose our independent coverage, approve editorial conclusions or buy a favourable review. We may decline proposals that are unrelated to film craft, unclear about their terms or likely to confuse readers about who produced the material.
Every scene is a set of choices
A frame can hide as much as it shows; a pause can do more than a speech. We look closely, describe what we can see and leave room for more than one reading.
